This place was bought a couple years ago and reopened by new ownership and they have don't a great job. Food is as always is good. Environment in the place is old soda shop feel and well lit. Friendly attentive staff and prices are good too. Can't go wrong.
Love this place. My friend and I were staying in Grand Saline for a few days. We ate there twice and it was great both times. The staff were so friendly! Prices were reasonable and food was top notch. Wish we had one in Arkansas!
We tried the chicken livers and the cheeseburger and fries. Cheeseburger was really good, bread and toppings were fresh. I assume the chicken livers were good because they were consumed by those that like chicken livers and they appeared very pleased. The fries were missing salt but honestly I can salt my own fries and in fact I probably prefer it. The portions were excellent and they have a special every day that includes a main, french fries and a drink for $10. They have open windows to the kitchen and you can see everything. It looked very clean and the service was extremely nice and patient with me. Absolutely will try it again.
That last time I was here, we got our food to go so it was nice to go inside. The staff here is SUPER nice and the food was great. In fact, we ate here twice and I enjoyed my visit both times. The place is spacious, clean and it was nicely decorated for Christmas. Loved the jukebox by the door and their milkshakes were so good. My parents live very close, but I can see why they love this place. Now I love it too.
The food is always great. The workers are very friendly. I have not gotten anything that I did not like yet. The Mexican plate is excellent. If you have not tried it yet you need too. They have redone the inside and it looks great...
The place is clean and well staffed. Food was made to order (not precooked) and service was quick. Downside: A little over priced.
I will say it's a really nice place to be for the whole entire family atmosphere is really nice with a little bit of an old-school vibe to it. If you're the kind of person to support local businesses I'll definitely take a shot to this restaurant. The owners are really kind and nice. Can't wait until the weekend to come back and Chow down on their delicious food
